Rules that change the maths
- Blackjack pays 3:2, not 6:5. This is the most important rule on the table. A 6:5 game adds roughly 1.4% to the house edge and is not worth playing.
- Dealer stands on soft 17 is better for you than the dealer hitting it.
- Double after split allowed helps you.
- Surrender available helps you slightly, in specific spots.
- Fewer decks is marginally better, all else equal.

- Always split aces and eights. Never split tens or fives.
- Double on 11 against anything except an ace. Double on 10 against 9 or lower.
