Blind and seen: the actual game
A blind player has not looked at their cards and stakes half of what a seen player stakes. A seen player has the information and pays for it. That trade is the heart of Teen Patti: staying blind buys you cheap participation and pot odds, at the cost of playing without information.
- A blind player bets the current stake; a seen player bets double it.
- A blind player can call for a show against another blind player at any point once two players remain.
- A seen player cannot demand a show from a blind player: they can only continue or fold.
- Playing blind for the first few rounds is standard practice, not recklessness.
