Mines is a risk ladder with an explicit exit. A grid contains a set number of hidden bombs; you reveal safe tiles one at a time, your multiplier grows with each success, and you can cash out whenever you like. Hit a bomb and the round ends at zero.
How the multiplier grows
Each safe reveal is less likely than the last, because the proportion of bombs among the remaining tiles rises. The multiplier compensates, which is why the ladder accelerates. Choosing more bombs at the start means a steeper ladder and a shorter expected run.
| Bombs on a 25-tile grid | Risk per reveal | Practical style |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 | Low | Long runs, small multipliers, frequent small wins |
| 5 | Moderate | The common default; three or four reveals is a normal target |
| 10 or more | High | Two reveals can already be a meaningful multiplier |
| 24 | Extreme | A single-pick lottery on the grid |
The only strategy that exists
Decide your reveal count before the round starts, and cash out there regardless of how the grid feels. There is no pattern in tile placement, no hot corner, and no safe opening square. The game is a sequence of independent draws with a stated house edge, and the single decision that matters is where you stop.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a pattern to Mines tile placement?
No. Bomb positions are randomly generated each round and verified through provably fair seeds at most operators. There is no safe opening square and no hot corner.
